@kendallindstrom the material is really soft so it's stretchy. As mentioned it's new so the waistband is still in the original form. Hope this helps!

@kendallindstrom of course & thank you! Hmm I'm a 25 in Madewell but I noticed some of my bottoms are 26/27 from other brands. I have a small waist so the skirt can be high rise. If you mostly wear a small then it may be not work. Let me know if you have any more questions!
