I absolutely adore Chihuly! There's now a permanent display at the Crystal Bridges Museum near me.

Oh, my husband and I toured
Crystal Bridges. Magnificent!!! We were vacationing in Branson and went on a day trip to Bentonville. We arrived in the late afternoon and were told that our tour would be the ""architectural" tour. (I don't remember if we had the opportunity to choose another).

We will visit again, as there is sooo much more (as you know). My husband asked me what impressed me the most...I told him...look want men can do when they don't try to outdo each other on how smart they are and stay in their own lane. (Sorry, that's an inside joke)🥰

@louannajag Sorry. You're right- I couldn't help myself!! You have an amazing closet!! Did you get a chance to visit Eureka Springs on your trip too? It's a great day trip or weekend visit!! Lots of great shops and terrific Victorian Bed & Breakfasts. Plus it's just a beautiful area!

Oh yes.. Eureka Spgs. also was a day trip on a different time while in Branson. My husband booked an afternoon at a FANTASTIC spa. A surprise for me .it may have been my birthday week...not certain. Anyway, the VERY BEST MESSAGE IN MY WHOLE ADULT LIFE!!!!! I don't remember the name, but it is/was located near the historical hotel that claims to have inhabitant of ghosts. 🥰Do you know this hotel?

Locals told us that the evenings/nights in Eureka Spgs. changes to a very different crowd and that we should think about getting out of the area. Tourists would not be too accepting of this change. Have you heard of this? We didn't plan to do the " night" scene anyway. I hope they were kidding us.

I love nostalgia...antiques...and artisans. My husband and I choose "themes" as our vacation destinations. In our 25 yrs of marriage, our destinations were centered around natural springs; breathtaking waterfalls; rollercoasters
🥰botanical gardens; war museums
(My husband bawls the whole time).
covered bridges and mills. Ok I'm done 🥰

@louannajag Oh, wow. We have all that in Arkansas! Not to brag, lol! It sounds like you might enjoy a stay at The Arlington in Hot Springs Ark. They have a full spa with the natural spring waters and the hotel is a historical site itself with a botanical garden nearby.

Lol. .we stayed there 2 yrs ago. I believe it was in September...and I think a around Labor Day holiday because it was CROWED!!!! The Arlington drew a nightly crowd with live music and food both served in the main entrance area. Some, I'm certain were not hotel patrons. It was GREAT!
We did the tourist "thing " and brought home 10 gallons of "hot spring" water.

@louannajag Funny I mentioned it!! I love the Arlington. It is so beautiful. Was the water you got "Mountain Valley" Water? That stuff is awesome! My dad actually lives less than a mile from their bottling facility!

As we were walking the main "drag", I mentioned that I would like to bring some of he water home. We actually took along our own gallon containers .
Early, the morning of departure, (while I was packkng), my husband slipped away and filled our containers with the water springing from the open springs. Since our supply was limited , I only used the water to rinse my hair and for facials. It was magical! Less tangles and dryness and softer facial texture.🥰
