NOS Italian leather bottle case, will not fit wine bottle

This was found in an estate box from someone who traveled in Italy in the 1980s. It has been untouched since then and even the cardboard is still intact on the interior. It’s just beautiful, all I did was dust a little bit on the outside. The dimensions are 4 5/8 x 3 1/2 x 9 7/8. It is not tall enough to fit a regular wine bottle. It is designed to fit bottles, however, it will not fit a standard sized wine bottle. Of course you could use this beautiful case for anything you wanted. It is not flimsy by any stretch of the imagination as you can see from the pictures it is quite beautifully crafted.
