This vintage Pitman & Keeler American Queen Sweetheart expansion bracelet is a stunning and unique piece of jewelry. These bracelets are highly historical and collectible.
Many of these bracelets are monogrammed, but this one doesn't have one. You can add your own initials if you like.
It's a small size that will fit a wrist, size 4 inches, but stretches to 8 1/4 inches on a measurement cone. You can see that it fits me, an adult with a small wrist, in the above photo.
The bracelet is made of yellow gold-filled material and is signed on the back -- American Queen, Pitman & Keller.
The bracelet is pre-owned and has a vintage charm to it that takes you back to a different time.
It has no stones and weighs 21.08 grams, making it a delicate but durable accessory.

History:
Sweetheart bracelets were originally popularized in the late Victorian era and at first were manufactured mainly for children and teens. They grew in popularity as love tokens, given by a soldier and his sweetheart, during the First and Second World Wars and they remained popular and widely produced through the 1950s. Often engraved with names or initials (similar to lockets of the same era) the overall style and many of the motifs remained consistent over 60 years and continue to charm a new generation of wearers.
