NIB Handcrafted Icon Egg

This stunning wooden egg, depicting the Madonna and Child, was handcrafted by a master artisan at Russia's Sergeyev Posad, Euorpe's largest monestery. Each is meticulously hand-painted, using special enamels and gold leaf, and then hand-lcquered. Re-creation of a classic scene pained on religious icons for nearly two mellenia. Egg is 5" tall on a 3" stand.
