SELLING: POSH IS BRAND-DRIVEN. List the Brand in the Title AND in the Listing Form! Your items show up in SEARCHES, plus are listed as alternate options below the listing window - for buyers! Buyers can also see the Brand in the title without opening listing.
List high $ (research), later Posh sometimes gives shipping discounts (not deleted from profit) when you mark your item down. Plus gives you negotiating room for Bundles.

PHOTOS:DO NOT SELL WHAT YOU WON’T WEAR! USE POSH AP has a set photo size! Set a light IN FRONT of item. Photo Full front, fill image in window, show close-up of TAG, sizing & material info. Photo measuring tape across waist, bust, length (try to answer every question you may be asked in the photo). DISCLOSE EVERYTHING - rips, tears stains, etc. No dirty shoes or feet prints in shoes! A buyer can return if you do not disclose issues.

BUYING: Like items in a closet. Click on the two hangers with seller’s photo above listings and you can see all your likes. Add what you want to a BUNDLE. Either you can make an offer or the Seller will make you an offer. If you let the Seller, sometimes they can offer a shipping discount. Buyer or Seller can counter offers.
GOOD LUCK and HAPPY POSHING! Have good tips for newbies? List in comments!

PHOTOS: Set a lamp on the floor in FRONT of item to front light it. Do not photo with light source behind. If you item is blurry or dark, it may appear that you are hiding imperfections. Show measuring tape across bust, waist length in photos to ANSWER questions that you don't have to address later.

If you leave a COMMENT... TAG that person so it shows in their news feed! You can even SHARE an item with friends by tagging them! (Example: @scubadiva1) use the @ symbol in front of name.

POSH IS A NUMBERS GAME! The more you SHARE from your closet and OTHERS CLOSETS...the more you get your items out there. FOLLOW as many people as you can!

PERSONAL PREFERENCE: DO NOT SHARE your items to someone's closet without them asking you to Style them! I feel that it's PUSHY and RUDE...and will BLOCK that person.

LISTING: WISH I HAD DONE THIS FROM THE BEGINNING! When you list A BATCH, put that BATCH in A SEPARATE BOX and LABEL IT! Put the Box # in the listing! Box "BA" add the BA to the item description, SO YOU CAN FIND IT! Now, with so many listings I'm having a hard time finding things!

IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN ITEM...(cousins closet...etc) DO NOT LIST IT!

If you are packing an item and see it's damaged...alert the buyer FIRST! Explain what's wrong and give them a replacement option - of something else in your closet...or to cancel. LET THEM DECIDE. Example: I sold a bathing suit and did not see that a seam had become unravelled... I (wrongly) cancelled, THEN told the buyer. She wanted it anyway, so I had to RELIST it.

If you sell a LARGE BUNDLE. Instead of risking going over 5lbs... try packaging tightly in a mailing envelope. Explain to the buyer that you are trying to make sure the weight is under 5lbs and the packaging may not be pretty. The post offices boxes are heavy for a REA$ON!

OH, NEWBIES! Shipping is always (unless a special deal) $6.49 (for up to 5lbs) and the BUYER PAYS. If the weight goes over...you pay the $6.49 PLUS the overage fees! IT IS CHEAPER TO SPLIT UP BUNDLES and have BUYER PURCHASE TWO BUNDLES than paying extra shipping! DO THE NUMBERS! OR Offer enough to COVER YOUR SHIPPING! 2 Bundles - 10lbs shipping = $12.98 - I think 10lbs is almost $20 or more if you try to do it in one box.

PHOTOS: KEEP SIMPLE to show your item. ADDING SHOES, BELTS, JEWELRY is confusing and you want the focus to be on what's for sale! You can be creative and FUN without clutter! Get the dog or cat involved, or statuary...HAVE FUN! You will be remembered!

ALSO when packaging - go to Dollar store for wrapping tissue and thank you notes...or other little gifts and trinkets for your buyer. I've received some AMAZING wrapping and am grateful for the nice notes! Gifts are NOT necessary, but are a nice "perk!" SOMETIMES I look at my buyers likes in my closet, Brand Likes and measurements and I send some extra clothing items from POSH MOUNTAIN. LOL!

FIRST TIME BUYERS!! When you receive your package. IMMEDIATELY check everything and if it is satisfactory... go to the listing and ACCEPT THE ITEM! The seller has been watching the shipping and know when you have received, but the BUYER needs to RELEASE THE PAYMENT TO THE SELLER by Accepting the Package! It's NICE to also receive a nice comment or NOTE. IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE...write the SELLER FIRST! Do not leave them a bad review if it's something that COMMUNICATION will remedy!!

UNTIL POSH comes up with an easier way... the only way to ORGANIZE your closet is to SHARE items BACKWARD...in the order you want them. SOLD items do NOT drop off, unfortunately. They will stay mixed in your listing until you reshare items in the closet to move them down. NOTE: If you leave them in your closet and buyers come across them... they may think everything below the SOLD items are SOLD and exit your closet. SO POSH PLEASE FIX and DROP OFF SOLD ITEMS! Please? "Whimper, grovel!"

HONESTY! Do not list items as "SILVER" if they are not Sterling stamped 925. CLEARLY and UPFRONT and not to DECEIVE state "SILVER PLATED" NEVER LIST Polyurethane as LEATHER. LIST AS FAUX LEATHER or PU Leather - SHOW TAG in photo. Never list plastic as TURQUOISE...it is FAUX list FAUX. By being deceptive and manipulating words to make a sale, you can ANGER the buyer and they have GROUNDS to RETURN THAT ITEM.

DO NOT SELL REPLICAS as REAL. Do not DECEIVE a buyer into thinking an item is a brand it is not. DO NOT CLUTTER descriptions with brand names other than what is in listing...to confuse buyers & garbage-up the Posh search engines.

DO NOT SELL: Replicas, torn/ripped, unravelling seams, MISSING DECOR: like buttons, rhinestones, studs, metal, beads, sequins, etc., stained leather, peeling/bubbling polyurethane, leather with damage i.e., skirt with hanger emboss on the azz (YES THIS HAPPENED), cigarette smelling leather (you cannot dry clean or clean this smell out), cigarette smell DRY CLEAN ONLY items, Make-up stained clothing, Foot stained shoes, Won't wear it? Don't sell something that belongs in the trash!

SHIPPING No, nos! NEVER ship in a Priority Mail FLAT RATE BOX! Post office may hold for an additional $6.49...YES, happened to me about 20 minutes ago! So be careful to only use PLAIN Priority Mail package. NOT FLAT RATE and NOT EXPRESS. Posh only covers regular priority mail...OR BETTER - use your own plain envelopes and packaging.

STORAGE!!! When listing store in MARKED containers!! “AB” when listing the item INCLUDE “AB” in description so you can FIND it easily when sold! Wish I had dine this from the start!!! With over 400 listings i have a hard time finding! You can always go back and organize into marked containers and add the #box to item descriptions. Just best to start that way.

NEVER EVER....EVER comment on someone's item and say.... I saw this at Maurices and it was marked down 40%! Yes, this happened to me but I paid full price. This nasty person just did it to try to get me to mark it down because they were sold out of her size. Never demean another persons item so other buyers can read it. Not nice. IF this happens to you, you can flag the comment and send a request to POSH to have it removed. Then block the mean person.

When you make a sale, wrap it nicely - like you are sending a gift to a good friend. Add little trinkets and include a nice thank you note, or card. I LOVE SURPRISES...and so does most people. Sometimes I will look over their profile and if I have an extra clothing item...will include their size/taste...just because.

SIZING! It’s important to list as a JUNIOR size! Candies, Forever 21, Rue 21! Junior cuts are smaller than a Woman’s cut!! A Juniors XL is more like a Woman’s Large! If you anger a buyer by a misleading description - they can return it! State Junior, show measure tape across bust and length in photos. SAY tag says XL but runs small - fit M/L better! Shoes... i wear 6w. If my 6 Won’t fit width - I say not for wide feet!
