I JUST recently started selling my items on another site and marked 4 items as sold on....(the other site) without really thinking about it. Your blog said to delete these items and I did not want to jeopardize my SU status so I quickly went to my closet to do just that and they were already deleted. Looks like posh did it. See below..

shay3624 No not at all but those dresses that I sold (on the other site) are no longer view-able on posh. i was just about to remove them myself. @grayasparagus I honestly, dont think it affected the number of listings I had up either, that number did not seem to go down but i list so much everyday, i could be wrong.

shay3624 It was my mistake for keeping those dresses up after they sold on the other site but i had a BOGO sale last week and I kinda wanted ppl to know that I didnt just remove them because i had the sale...you know? So they would not think I was keeping the dresses OUT the sale..lol They were 4 awesome pieces and the customer got 4 evening gowns for the price of 2. :) Np

fanzy_pantz The change apparently does away with the ability to 'blast' an item. In my group, we blast 1 item x 10s. I guess this made it go through the feed differently. That no longer works. It only shows 1 time now I think.

grayasparagus @mkribs did you ever confirm that you could ever see it more than once? In my experience- it never showed up more than once- multiple shares only kept it at the top but never "flooded" the newsfeed.

grayasparagus @mkribs If you FEEL like it works- DO IT. I judge whether or not something is "working" but how many shares or likes I receive while doing said strategy. I honestly have never felt like "share blasting" was a good use of my time- but I do not discount people who feel/find it effective. Too many factors with each persons individual circumstance.

fanzy_pantz @grayasparagus my personal experience has been excellent with it. I do between 3-5 groups per day. @soldsold was a share blast based group that I believe to been very effective. However, allegations are that the blast now shows the same as a single share

fanzy_pantz @grayasparagus I am tracking the sales I had last week that were blasted (we put them at top of closet so that is easy)from last week and this. Doesn't consider other variables but at least a guess. 300 shares of the same item was blasted daily vs 30 this week thank you💜💜💜

grayasparagus Good Morning @suzzzann !Both of those are incredibly important issues but I do not have a definitive answer or a magic number. As far as listing... New listings can bring traffic to your closet (new items show up in "first look" showrooms in parties the first time they are shared) and just in general bring new interest to your closet. Ideally I would list every week or every few days but I don't. (cont...)

grayasparagus @suzzzann I think it's not so much a question of how many Listings, but WHAT you are listing. For instance, if you only sell shoes- it wouldn't matter if you had 1000 shoes listed, if I am doing a search and I wanted a Gap tee, I won't find your closet. I try to keep a variety in my closet (brands and type of listings) to up my chances of being found. Hopefully when they arrive in my closet, they will find other things and the more you have, the more chance you have to sell. Hope that helps!

What amazes me is no matter how rock-bottom-I'm-losing-$-low I go in pricing, too many Posher still make offensive low-ball offers. I just have to laugh it's so rude. I analyze sales here as tied to the economy and holidays or events...people have budgets and POSHMARK sales are correlated to these outside events. grayasparagus @roedarryl this is how I see it, yes, if I am doing a share group with a posher who has let's say, 5,000 followers, she would benefit from my shares bc theoretically it going out to my 300k+ followers. But that's assuming that they are active and shopping their feed. I feel like I have just ask much of a chance getting a sale if she shares mine to her 5k followers. Share groups are awesome because it's guaranteed share backs and exposure is exposure.

marlanap @krbustillos I do not always read my Posh e-mail, but I checked after I heard from Gray Asp and it is not messaged anywhere in my e-mail, not even on the Posh Blog unless it was recently posted? I guess they will get around to telling us all "officially" about it soon. Apparently, this is Breaking News. This is Awesome, much needed by so many of us, because it was a total drag "Temporarily Closing" my closet last fall. Thank, Heavens we now have this wonderful option.

grayasparagus @lovelacy gotcha, thanks!! I use an iPhone 5s... I put it on a tripod and use the selfie facing mode and timer- that way I can see how it will turn out. No filters or adjustments- just natural lighting.

I do my best to not use any filters, but sometimes (especially in the morning light), it's so harsh and bright that I need to adjust the exposure

lovelacy @emmegreen Yes, I have to adjust my pictures a little to either brighten them or tone down the exposure. My main problem is my phone making it crazy bright and washed out. I haven't figure out how to stop that yet😔

emmegreen @lovelacy try adjusting the the "white balance" setting on your phone. It helps me sometimes, especially since I use a cream and eggshell background. 📸📸📸

It would take forever to go thru all of it and enforce the rules 100% of the time. If only a small-ish percentage don't follow the rules- it's probably a win! I, like you, am a huge rule follower too, but I pick my battles- they are all potential customers! I am responsible for myself and sometimes even that's more than I can handle 😂

I always ask first...I borrowed your "tiny sale" idea a couple years back...I am not sure if you know but I have recently married my 6yr long love...and we got FULL CUSTODY of his teenager...YAY and EEEEEK...all at the same time, lol. y biggest EEEEEEK is that I am losing closet and storage space!!! kbeckworth Hi! Thanks for the post about having thicker skin. I needed to hear that one! After 4 years and so many sales I can't count, I had an item returned. It DOES feel personal. But I truly think we should be able to rate buyers, just like every other site, and I'm going to be more careful about who I'm selling to. I'm way more familiar with the block button these days.

meg23 Hi Elle I recently stumbled on an article on your blog about giving your sales a boost by either relisting old items or adding new ones. I recently moved and decided to go out on a limb and delete all my unsold listings (have a few I'll relist later). But for now I'm only adding new items. erikagannon I absolutely LOVE your system! I am where you were...binning things by category...but it's hard because one bin will be stuffed full and another may have only a couple of items! I have recently started pre-bagging...but think I will be adopting your lettering system...thank you SO much for sharing!
