@poshshowshub great feature, Poshmark! The only thing I wish that 20% fee would apply to all sales even below $15, as any sales below that getting a $2.99 fee is kinda pricy

A good way to set All of the auction starts to five dollars in your show, without with manually typing them! 🔥🔥🔥

I need help with understanding how to track what's sold, how to post the starting price, how to mark sold. not clear on the process when I go live
Feb 17Reply

jjvonmar72
@standoutstaples absolutely agree!! 👍
Feb 17Reply

happylife1014
I personally feel like this devalues sellers closets and provides barely any profits for hosts time & effort. To make $2.05 per item even if you sold 10 items in 2 hours, you’re making $20 less your COGS, so basically nothing.
Feb 17Reply

dropthreadz827
Please lower the fees on items $5 & under to make these shows worthwhile for sellers
Feb 18Reply

glannon
@dropthreadz827 agree should be a lower shipping cost
Feb 18Reply

rumorlessthread
Nice so $5 basically is gonna end up basically the seller paying. Would rather donate and help others!
Feb 18Reply

rumorlessthread
Sellers going live selling now starting price $3 aren’t making anything! Recycle ♻️ and help by the time packaging plus gas you’re not helping anyone.

Wish I had a good camera and a place in my home to do a live show. Also wasn’t camera shy.

How can we offer low starts and posh is not assisting us in getting viewers in our shows. We will lose thousands of dollars running $5 start ls on new inventory with only 3 ppl in the show
Feb 18Reply

erinbeads
problem is if you want to do a quick list for a higher price item it will only stay 5

I need more info/instructions on tech setup. It seems like some hosts are reading from a TV screen? But not sure. I get it about lighting, etc. Just need more physical setup info
Feb 18Reply

dillonmelissa32
it should be at least $15 because posh takes 20% and for $5 you get like $2.09 or something like that....how do they think we can keep doing $5 when we get $2 and some change? continues on next comment
Feb 19Reply

dillonmelissa32
No one goes to certain shows not because their stuff isnt beautiful but because other people are doing such a low start other people dont wnt to buy and go to their show. Everyone has to be on the same page or nothing will change. Its really hurting me by having to do $5 starts. I have to make an egg game just to break even.
Feb 19Reply

Poshmark, I just had a live show this evening! $5 low start! It was very eye-opening and sad!! 90% of everything I had was Brand New With Tags and unlisted. I sold only one item, and they canceled. I have excellent things, too.
Feb 19Reply

ranceeee
I’ll be doing a $5 clear the rack show tomorrow!
Feb 19Reply

lv_shopaholic
Posh, you have been giving certain sellers a $300 campaign to run five dollar shows. Some of these hosts have been given this same campaign more than once. How about the rest of us? I have yet to get that campaign. Make it worth our while.

I’ve done live shows on Poshmark for 2 years and unfortunately had to leave due to this issue right here ! I started items at $3 & $5 st ! It’s sad I’ll always be a posher at heart but the 20 % is killing this app !!! So many sellers have left and went to another platform cause of this issue
Mar 21Reply

goodasnew2323
I loved to come back full time, but I don’t see change coming . Now it’s $5 start and making $2.05 !!! What !!! You can’t buy a candy bar for that anymore… Poshmark listen to your sellers
Mar 21Reply

breezy8312
Love the listings geared towards training!😘
Mar 21Reply

rkf94
I have done several at the $5 & no one outbid each other. I sold 2 nice dresses & 2 pieces of jewelry. I only profited $3.50 each, not counting what I had in them. Can't do it again
Mar 21Reply

chiquitalove1
For all reasons mentioned previously is why I haven’t done my first live show. I don’t think is worth all the work for $2 or less.
Mar 22Reply

bucklecouple
Seller insight: Poshmark needs a RESERVE PRICE option in shows. It protects sellers from selling below cost, supports FAIR PRICING, and gives confidence when going live. We invest in sourcing, photos, packaging, and building our brands. A reserve helps stop the race to the bottom. RESALE IS RETAIL—and our efforts deserve profit, not pressure.

Please checkout my closet and make reasonable offers on any of my items please! :) happy poshing!

bobomorin1
@stylesbykalyn I would love to do shows but don’t know how to set up for it or how to do any of it. I can’t find anyone at posh to help me!!
Mar 23Reply

maririn7
It’s really appreciate posh advice but This system is for people who have a large inventory of authentic luxury items or can giveaway gifts to many buyers. If you are a popular seller, it might be a good idea to keep your item in the auction for as long as possible for from $3 to $5, but still, it’s fun but I don't think it's a very smart or nice forward looking strategy considering the time and fees.

@lisaw_1959 Hi i do my live show from my bedroom, i don't space in apt, give it a try!
Apr 06Reply

lisaw_1959
@marlynshop I don’t have the right equipment or the space to do a live. And I’m not tech savvy enough to know what I’m doing to keep up with a live show.
Apr 06Reply

kmoss31170
Would love to be able to set my own price for the tray instead of being locked in at 5. You could do like a ten dollar tray or 15
Apr 06Reply

dejanew_csovi
@kmoss31170 doing a "low start" show is a choice. If you do NOT activate the low start option you can set any item at the price of your choice. I hope this is helpful❣️
Apr 06Reply

itsbusinesstime
I cannot sell something for five dollars when I have maybe 5 to 8 viewers that are going to bid an item up my COG on the item may have been five to start with and now I’m sending tissue paper packing material a free thank you gifts and a card and it this point I’ve made negative money cause I still have to drive to the post office to mail the item. It’s not worth doing a low start show.
Apr 06Reply

katiebabyyy7
No one ever joins my shows 😭😭😭
Apr 06Reply

maryjane0101
Had my first live show yesterday and i noticed the buyers only wanted to bid on $5 items! I made many mistakes. Lots of give aways and people won that bought nothing. So i paid for them to get nice items and pay the shipping too. I would be ashamed to take something from someone when i never purchased anything! Also PM said my first buyer would get free shipping, 4 boxes later they paid for one box! Live and learn🌸
Apr 07Reply

jklingenschmitt
🚨Wish and hope someone from Poshmark would read this comment. Low start shows hurt sellers. If someone wins an item for $5 in the show, and then wants to bundle something from your closet, it forces you to sell the item for $5! Great for closet clear out, but not allowing another item to be brought in for a bundle hurts us. When you do a $5 show, it also devalues your closet and people expect every show to be $5. Proceed with caution ⚠️ 🥰
Apr 07Reply

clouddancerltd
@maryjane0101 Truthfully a give away is just that. a give away. But customer should have to pay shipping. They may not want to do they can cancel if they choose. not us
Apr 07Reply

pinkraincloud
Low starts are not worth the time & you don’t make anything after to you take out the ink cost for the labels, gas to mail it out, tape, & other packing materials. It all adds up. The live shows are ruing the platform. Make a new app for just the shows.
Apr 07Reply

catzlady
@puakenikeni1 you need better lighting and pictures in general. I swear it helps.
Apr 07Reply

@standoutstaples agreed!
Apr 07Reply

lilelulelee
Low starts are awesome but now days it has been hard and very hard to even get sales,, nobody seems to be buying. if low sales are scheduled people wait till the red 10 secs. then bid and ee are getting robbed, this defeats the purpose of why low starts are a NO GO.
IVE TRYED LOW STARTS BUT STOPPED AND JUST DONT DO THEM ANYMORE ON MY LIVE SHOWS

This type of show can really draw in buyers n. re sellers.. Opportunity to clear out your closet inventory..
Apr 07Reply

I actually did a lot of donations.. I just finished taxes My tax man says I. owe nothing.. yay..
Apr 07Reply

yellowfin9
yes .. I was on certain items.. I've learned now to cut down inventory.. and choose better opportunities of courses to get free items.. now.. Books can be good to re sell if you know what your looking for..
Apr 07Reply

amorefinds
I like the concept of low start shows, but they aren't realistic for sellers. Poshmark is making more than the seller at that point. if an item sells for $5.
also, customers who aren't at shows make low ball offers if they see items sold for so low, listed in your closet.

@lisaw_1959 understand how you feel. To do a live, you need a mobile phone and a tablet or a laptop. Finally got over my fear and did one then another. Silent shows are great way to get your feet wet trying it.

I stopped doing posh shows because I didn’t sell anything. I made multiple attempts and even did share shows nothing ever sold even three and five dollar items! This devalues the whole platform and equates it to a garage sale (actually you would pay more at the garage sale or thrift store) 👎🏻

@happylife1014 I'm glad I saw your comment. This is my concern too. This drops comps across all platforms as well. So then if you try to list something, say at even half retail, which I consider a deal, the algorithm will push it down in favor of all the desperate people willing to give stuff away at what is basically now below thrift store prices. We aren't a charity shop.
Apr 08Reply

fashionablybel
@maryjane0101 I made a mistake and clicked the free gift just to have more people coming in. I had 6 that made an entry but no one bought. So I was losing shipping + item cost. The giveaway should just be for active buyers.

put a lot of time in work and doing a show several times many times had no luck a show and then never having any sales. my time is valuable and is spread thin as it is. I was excited about them but quickly have become very discouraged
Apr 08Reply

Will we not be able to start them for more than $5 since we wouldn’t make any money after those fees?

jaxie143
@marymacmakeup man! The struggle. I do shows and struggle even offering the best deals.
Apr 08Reply

jaxie143
@stylesbykalyn what do you need help with. Sellers aren’t reading anything. I’ve been selling for over a year and you tend to memorize your lines. It’s best when you get interaction from viewers otherwise seems like you’re there on your own.
Apr 08Reply

jaxie143
@bobomorin1 send me a message and I can assist you you will need two devices. The phone for the show and a laptop of iPad. You’ll need a ring light

Shopped at a share show today and it was fun right @vintageglee - Now I want to learn how you did the co host with others ? Did they send you a bundle or how is it possible to have multiple listings ? I’m @ttarney Tara Tarney and I’m interested in co share shows and having larger groups. Thanks ;) TT

I think going back to shopping in someone closet and give an offer will be great!
Show is a waste of time for some small closet.
Apr 08Reply

tmoore911
I only have 85 items in my closet and they are reasonably priced. Would work for bigger closets but, I’m not the ideal seller for that… not enough items and not enough people to show up. Great idea but not for me.

@pinkraincloud
Hey Poshmark, there is an app for that already.....called What Not. Ridiculous to think people are going to continue this way too long experiment of live shows with a 20% commission fee!

why when I listed my first show did it put on there a label of free shipping ..I marked nothing for that to be there ..doing low starts ..

@ttarney To cohost someone in the show; when they comment you can click on them and "invite" them in your show. They will be able to move the tray - adding, deleting, and selling if you choose. Then to remove you hit the three dots in show (...) and remove them. You can add / delete as many during the show but only one another person can be on camera at the same time.
