@raineys7 I dont know the exact measurement, but its standard sizes. and a cotton blend so they won't string too much. if you are nervous about which size to pick I would go with the larger size!

Hmm.. I never seen an xl fit a 14 AND an 18 before🤔 usually it’s a 14 and sometimes 12/14 or 14/16. But if it states it fits up to 18 and that’s a USA 18 then I guess it’d fit with lose comfort a 14 just fine and if it has a high enough content of cotton (what’s cotton percentage?) I suppose it could be dried in higher heat if need to be shrunk a bit, huh?

@raineys7 sorry they give a horrible size chart i guess. they probably put such a wide range on purpose. but it is a cotton blend thats all it says on the tag. :/ sorry i dont have more information. but i would size up if you are trying to decide between two sizes

@fitnessturtle I’m sorry but this seems much too complicated and is becoming impossible to determine fit with a mystery boutique manufacturer, no measurements and no size comparison. Most buyers ask for measurements if listing does not state them or items are not a well known brand and most sellers are able to provide measurements when asked...

@fitnessturtle Regarding material, for instance, a 60% cotton, 40 percent polyester or a 95% cotton, 5 percentage spandex can both be considered a cotton blend. Blending cotton with another material is considered a blend and usually tags state materials and percentages which let us know how the fit or shrinkage will be..

@fitnessturtle USA has size standards that everyone in this country go by (as I’m sure you know if you go shopping) and companies that wish to produce items to sell to USA should adhere to those standards (which they used to in years back). If the manufacturer/designer is in the USA then hopefully this would fit like any other T-shirts sold in mainstream stores..

@fitnessturtle For example, there are well known department stores in our malls and the big value warehouse stores as well that sell clothing manufactured from say maybe, asia but these stores require they must adhere to USA sizing standards rather than the smaller size standards of their own country and measuring units differ too as we use inches..

@fitnessturtle As much as I’d love to simply buy these, I cannot purchase them blindly without knowing simply, what size the sizes truly are. Getting a size bigger, as you suggested if I was under, would only still be guessing and it’d be just as much a problem to receive something too big as it would be if it were too small. After all, most (not all) women would prefer a top that sufficiently covers their breasts..

Perhaps you can ask the people you purchase from. I do wish to order from you but I must wait for this pertinent info. If they end up fitting nicely I will want to order in different colors too but that’d be after receiving my initial order.

@fitnessturtle Ok thank you😉 I seen the sizes in size chart and they are very broad so not as helpful.
The material is nice to know because it does not even have cotton in it so there would be only shrinkage from the spandex if one were to dry in the dryer vs hang dry like I usually do anyway. The material, with that content, probably feels more like the soft athletic shirts.

@fitnessturtle But measurement are fundamentally important here and I do not think they’re being fair to you at all (nor your buyers) by not providing these to you. It makes me think they might be foreigners and there’s a communication gap or something else because it’s very strange that they are refusing to provide measurements of their product to you, their retailer.

They should clearly have this info or get it from their supplier or whoever, I’m not sure how many suppliers are involved in this chain.

@fitnessturtle If it were I that received another broad/vague size chart like that from them, I’d message back and state that you already have a size chart and that your customers need measurements of each size. Even if they provide it in centimeters we can convert those to inches but at least we’d have the dimensions. It is very common to have measurements of width (usually from armpit to armpit) and length from shoulder to hem.

Measurements and fabric content is something that ALL clothing manufacturers and suppliers should provide and I’m frustrated for you as well as us that they have sold you goods without giving you that info and apparently are not being supportive to you in providing answers to your inquiry.

If it were me, from now on I’d refuse to purchase any supply of clothing from these boutique companies before they provided me with the basic info (measurements and fabric) that customers would need to know to determine fit since no person online can preview or try on clothing before purchasing.
