flutterby2021 I could be wrong, but based on the design this looks more like something meant for putting out candles IMO :)

carmensdaughter @flutterby2021 hi there! Actually it was hand crafted by my brother in law and the “scoop” metal part doesn’t toggle to snuff out a candle, although I can see what you mean. I wouldn’t want the resin handle to be in direct contact with the flame. I actually have a candle snuffer and it is all metal and toggles so you can lower it into a jar, for example, to snuff out the flame. I hope that makes sense! Haha. C.
