these are great for teaching preschoolers counting, adding, subtracting, color recognition, interlocking, building, and sorting. I would not recommend these for children who are prone to putting items into their mouths because they are only a little over an inch wide so they could be a choking hazard. They come in a cute carrying bag for easy travel.
