Mystery ART GLASS CUBES / Salt Cellars?, INCENSE STICK HOLDERS?, Candle Holders?

I wasn’t sure what this pair of hand-blown, art glass cubes were made for but I fell in love with them immediately. The oillspot glass cubes are hollow and have a deep indentation in the middle. I suppose they could be be used for holding skinny candles, as individual salt cellars, or for holding a stick of incense. Each cube measures 1.75 inches wide by 1.25 inches thick. Both are in excellent condition.
