Myriorama Endless Landscape GiBi Milano Made in Italy

The Myriorama was a popular novelty during the 19th century. In whichever order these 24 cards are placed side by side, the result will be a perfectly harmonious landscape. The illustration on this version is closely based on one published in Leipzig in the 1830s. Marked GiBi Milano, Made in Italy. Wooden base holds a set of 24 different cards mounted on either side of the metal weighted wooden slats. In very nice condition with some minor wear from age and use. Very unique! Last two photos show an identical set that sold at auction in May 2024 Wooden base is about 17.75” long. Slats stand about 4.5” tall (including metal base).
