About me: I live in the Bay Area, and have traveled to about 25 countries. I love hiking, plants & animals, live music & dancing, & cooking (I side hustle as a private chef). The tree picture was taken at one of my favorite places - Pt. Reyes. The 2nd to last pic is me and my two sweet brothers, & the last one is me & my "plant babies" - I have a huge collection of succulents! sophiecarmel @3bugmama That's hard work, good for you for making a difference :) I work for Juma Ventures, so also with youth but a little different target population. I love it. We're in SF and Oakland and the kids work out at all the ballparks vending concessions and saving for college. It's fun!

sophiecarmel @irisfabiola Thanks Iris! Iris is one of my favorite names :) I don't know if I'm an incredibly interesting person, but I do try to live life to the fullest! I am always open to adventure :) I haven't been to Ecuador or Puerto Rico, but they're both places I'd love to see! My next big trip will probably be through Central America, which I haven't seen yet...or maybe Peru...because I love Ceviche so much! Or maybe Colombia...I've heard it's incredible :) too many beautiful countries to see in this big wide world of ours!

irisfabiola Peru is next to Ecuador. Those countries have such rich heritage and sooo many climate regions. Snowy mountains and sunny beaches. Ceviche is probably my most favorite Peruvian dish. My name, I didn't like it in my youth but as an adult I've embraced it and love it haha. Any one who travels and takes time to learn outside of who they are is amazing!!!

sophiecarmel @irisfabiola Yes! Maybe if I go to Peru I can hit up Ecuador too. I tend to take really long trips so there's a lot of time to see everything! I consider myself very, very lucky that I've had the opportunity to travel. It's expensive but I've saved a lot of money and traveled like a hobo backpacker just so I could have the experience :) I agree that it's important! And no problem about replying...it's not actually that bad. I'll be all caught up with replies very soon.

mollys3 Yes, they certainly are. My husband went to med school in the city. We now live in Monterey/Carmel and have a place in Half Moon Bay. It's such a gorgeous coast line. You have a terrific closet. Have a great night.

pocketaces Thanks so much for choosing my dress for a host pick! I'm from San Rafael, and I spend almost every weekend in west Marin/ point Reyes! ( small world) lol I just read through your comments and saw you're planning in going to Peru! I stayed there in 2009 for 2 months and absolutely LOVED IT. The food is amazing and the ceviche is the freshest you'll ever taste. Puerto Rico is also amazing, I definitely recommend staying in culebra or vieques to get more of a local feel.

Canada x10 (my grandparents live there), Mexico X4, China, France, Italy x2, England, Scotland, Ireland x3, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland x5, Germany, Croatia x2, Greece for a month, Turkey, Bulgaria, Czech Republic x3, Hungary x2, Slovakia, Slovenia, San Marino, Denmark...I lived in Vienna, Austria for two years and I traveled somewhere nearly every weekend. Now that I've tackled Europe I want to do central and south america. Eventually, I also make it to SE Asia!

classicpatty @sophiecarmel To start off, try to contact a talent agency (modeling) and see if they would want to meet with you and go from there. Make sure it is a legitimate agency. Your close up pic (glass earring) is so gorgeous.

sophiecarmel @courtneym91 aw, shucks! thanks for the lovely compliment :) I used to be a pixie like you! it's been a long time though. welcome to poshmark - you've made a good friend in @concept (thanks for the intro, sweet lady!) and you'll find that everyone here is super supportive of newbies. The best parties to try to get a host pick for are weekend and evening parties - especially the weekend ones. the daytime/weekday ones are hosted by katef and the other posh ladies who have 1MM+ followers and will never see your request for a host pick because they probably get 1 bajillion notifications a day. You've done a great job so far of presenting your items - it definitely helps to get as much natural light and highest quality photos you can (I'm still working on this myself!). Finally - don't worry about things too much. A lot of ladies are kind of crazy obsessed with this app - and while it's fun, it can quickly suck up time. No need to return every share or try too hard...if your items are nice they will speak for themselves for the most part. Good luck!

bip71 I shipped your items the next day. I pride myself on shipping same or next day. They were not scanned until that Friday and were delivered shortly after the weekend. sophiecarmel @girlgoneshoppin not really - my main "trick" was that my friend worked for poshmark when it first started. Because I was an early adopter and got promoted to a suggested user early I have a lot of followers even though I rarely use the app anymore :) I've had it since 2013!
