@treasuretreats good morning Bobbie, I hope you're doing well these days. I was making camomile oil this morning so I took a picture of it. I was out so went into the city to look for some and it was 27.00 a tiny bottle.... So went and bought. 12oz of organic flower tops and made it myself.. So I'll have 3/4 cup for 16.00... Haha!!

@andig well it's relatively easy for me because I was raised with this stuff but if I was just starting out here's what I would do... Take one thing that you think you need help on in your life like sleeping or feeling energized or your's complexion something like that.... Take only one thing at a time if you want to learn this well.... So say I have trouble with acne and I want to get a handle on that, I would then begin to research what natural oil or herb is good for acne.... And probably six or seven different things are going to come up... Take each item that comes up and research the heck out of it. Start by how it grows what it looks like what kind of tinctures you can make out of it, how to make oils out of it how to make creams out of it, how long is its potency good for what are the side effects... Then you go down the list and you'll learn all of those individual herbs as well as you learn the first one. make yourself a book and hand write everything you've learned about that one particular herb and what it's good for, and so forth. Soon you will have your personal book of elements in each herb or a combination of herbs that will be beneficial with what your trying to fix. The only way to learn it is to hand write your knowledge.. If you simply read it on a computer screen or in a book you will not remember it, if you print it off in the printer you will not remember it.... Handwrite in your personal book and learn... Soon you'll be full of knowledge and you'll know which oils and herbs benefit you and your family. Start with one thing and keep going. I hope this is been helpful

@lchouser good morning Laura, allergies in animals are just like allergies in people. You have to know what type of allergy you are treating. In dogs it's usually an allergy to corn or fleas. In your case it could be a number of things. It could be he has a flea, he's allergic to his bedding if it's Cedar, his dog shampoo, any type of flea and tick medication you're giving him. Over the years I've had numerous dogs with allergies, and it normally turns out to be a flea on medication allergy. In your case you may just have to take him to the vet to get it diagnosed properly, since what he could be allergic to could be numerous things. If you are using a flea and tick shampoo possibly quit using that and use a deluded peppermint oil solution on him instead. If you have a flea collar on him I would remove that, if you're feeding him snacks make sure they don't have any corn in them. Corn is one of the biggest offenders in dog allergies, along with tick and flea control products. If you try these simple things and noticed a change than that is his problem, if not you may have to see your veterinarian so they can run a test to see what he's allergic to. Change his bedding and maybe just use a white cotton towel or a white cotton sheet for him to lay on top. I have known some dogs that were allergic to cedar chips. Keep me posted

@lchouser no the peppermint soap won't do anything for his allergies it will only be a alternative if you're treating fleas or ticks. Did the vet gave you a list of things this dog is allergic to? The vet would've had to have some idea of what this dog is allergic to if they were going to charge you $300 a month for pills. Normally in life I find in pets and humans if there's a pill required there's normally an alternative medicine for it. What was your vet biggest suspect in his allergies? If your other dog or other animals have flea collars on or you're using the drops you may have to use alternative medicines for them also has that could be affecting this dog since they are all sharing the same space.

I too am a big believer that God put all the plants flowers & herbs we need on this earth for us to use & be healed. It is sad how people trust big pharma & not natural healing... off of my soap box....
