Next month is 2 yr. Posh Anniversary with almost 200 sales and a 5 Star rating. I have an amazing family, including my Shih Tzu! I am ISO the pictured Gucci purse. ppamprrd @posh_appetite Hi Melody, thanks for the kudos. When I first started, I joined a bunch of Poshmark Facebook Groups and read everything I could to figure out the best way to sell. Different things work for different people. For me, I welcome a lot of new Poshers, post my stuff to parties and follow people and brands that I like. I buy too, which helps because of the Golden Rule. I try to give accurate pictures and descriptions, disclose conditions and just be honest.

If a buyer doesn’t rate you no stars or note, even though I wrapped it like a gift & included a thank you card & same day shipping, should I ask them to rate me?

ppamprrd @ally_marc I often have buyers accept right away, and then come back and rate me later. Overall, only about 60-70% of buyers rate, so I don't bother them. Once you build up enough sales, it won't matter anyway. I didn't post my stats for 15 months, for that reason. I decided to post now, because I think that it gives potential buyers some comfort that it is safe to buy from me. Also, some Poshers include notes about ratings, returns etc, and I prefer not to do that.

I was going to see if you could offer some experience strength and hope about how you handle customers who do low-ball offers. I mean seriously I have a $20 item and they offer me 5 bucks... Ehhhh. ppamprrd @ashleysonnier29 hi. I get low balls all the time. My recommendation is to always counter, even if really low. The Posh algorithms penalize you for declining or not responding. If it's really low go down by a buck or two and just keep doing it in little increments until you found your lowest. Then if they keep countering, just counter back with your lowest. Try to ignore them as best you can and don't message them.

ashleysonnier29 @ppamprrd good suggestion. Thank you. Sucks they penalize you tho for declined or not responding. It is just if they offer five on a 20 I go 19 and then so on so forth it still ends up at 10 or 11 on counter lol ... Plus seller fees barely five bucks anyway haha.

ppamprrd @ashleysonnier29 I know. I guess try to mark up a little higher, knowing that you are getting a ton of low balls. Also, I have been told to do what Posh says. So, if you get a message to welcome new Poshers etc., do It! Their algorithms reward you.

I sold a Bobcat Fur coat today boxed it in a big brown box printed my label for the Poshmark concierge‘s,paid my over the weight amount with the appropriate label- got to the post office & they measured the box & added $120 or so on top of that.I cancelled the shipment at the post office until I can get information on what I’m supposed to do and how to get it to poshmark concierge’s.

ppamprrd @vickig_if you weighed the box and printed the Posh label, then you should have been able to send. I would write to Posh Support right away and verify the correct amount for shipping.

ppamprrd @hippieluna I think that you need to connect your bank account, or they will post a Posh credit to your account. It does take up to 3 days to get paid post delivery. The buyer doesn't always accept right away. If they don't rate you and accept the package, they by default you will get paid in 3 days. The buyer has those 3 days to open a case if there is anything wrong with the item.

ppamprrd @thead120 Thanks! It really is only about 2 things... Time and honesty. The time is mostly spent at night, because I work, and the honesty is just about the condition of the clothing. Sometimes I don't see something with a stain that sells, and I then disclose and or cancel the sale. Nothing is worth ruining a reputation for. That's really about it. Most people put in reasonable offers because they know that high quality clothing is hard to come by.
