estercobb @gypsygurlcloset Thank you! It was really fun. Mrs. Central Oklahoma is my ‘local title’ and I didn’t win the state title at the pageant but I had a blast! And I lost enough weight prepping for it that I fit into your jeans lol :)

I'm glad you were able to fit into those jeans :) I think I need to find something to motivate me like this to work out. This is pretty inspirational as I too am a momma but can never seem to find the time. Anyhow -- just saw the picture pop on my feed the other day and wanted to say congratulations. :)

estercobb @gypsygurlcloset Friend me on Facebook! My trainer whipped me into shape in literally 8 weeks with 30 min sessions with him 3x/wk and 10-20 minutes of cardio after, a high protein diet supplemented with protein shakes to feed your muscles and low carbs. He can do consults via email for people who live far away. I was about 10 years older than most of the contestants and didn’t make it past the first cut but I had a great time and was very proud of myself.

estercobb @gypsygurlcloset I highly recommend the Mrs. America organization if you are interested in it in your state. The only requirement to apply is that you are married and you go from there! I’m a horse riding nerd but I loved being a pageant girl! Anyone can do it :)

gypsygurlcloset @estercobb I barely use FB anymore. My good friend is a personal trainer, and I haven't taken her up on her offer either. I just really can't seem to make/find the time. My kiddo is going on 4 and has Autism. So between three different schools and 2 different therapy centers, I'm on the road all day.

gypsygurlcloset @estercobb Since you're a self proclaimed "horse nerd" :), do you mind if I ask you a question? How long have you been riding? I'm thinking of signing my son up next year for Hippotherapy (have you heard of that?). I think it'll be such a great experience for him but I'm terrified as a parent because I keep thinking the horses will get excited and hurt him.

estercobb @gypsygurlcloset You are a busy lady! I have been riding since I was 6 yo and am also a Family Medicine Doctor. It would be wonderful for him, horses are intuitive affectionate animals and the ones they choose for those programs understand the children are not always in control of the movements or sounds they make and they plod calmly along and often comfort them :)

He's non-verbal, but definitely not quiet :) and he's a sensory seeker (such a busy little guy). I'm hoping he can make the same lifelong connection you have with horses. They're such beautiful animals. <3

estercobb @ukester Thank you! It was a fun experience and a confidence builder because I surprised myself with what I could accomplish in 2 months with a personal trainer :). It’s funny that we have to give ourselves ‘permission’ to do these sort of things for ourselves.

estercobb @davisds1966 Thank you! That was my very first pageant in 2018. Just did the Mrs United States National Pageant in Las Vegas last month and that was a blast. It has helped me so much with self confidence and public speaking. Plus forces me to go to gym lol
