There our shoulder pads and elbow pads built into the sweatshirt and there is a large back-pad built into the vest. They are comfortable and easy to ride with and it's a good look. There are thumb holes at the end of the sleeve, which keep your sleeves in the right place when you're riding and keep you warm even in cold weather because you can wear gloves right on top. You can see from the pictures that It is a little dirty with minor pilling on the end of the sleeves and under the armpits, but in general in pretty good shape. The elbow pads and shoulder pads can be taken out with velcro, and the back pad can be removed with a zipper so it makes it easy to wash.
