The sleeves have a cuff around the end for a sleeve that will stay put versus fall down if you choose to pull it up. the bottom of the sweater has a " banded " look that does sit nicely under your bump. This can be worn as a regular sweater if you are not pregnant or in the postpartum stages. This is a thinner material so you would definitely need a cami or short underneath for cooler weather.
