siennaacre I love the Maldives color! When you say the bag is dry and sticky, do you mean sticky as in the bag would pick up lint? Or just that it's rough and not smooth/soft like the leather should be? I'm just trying to get a sense of how "usable" the bag is. Is the rest of the bag still soft?

italianlolita @siennaacre as far as I know, the stickiness will not pick up lint. The entire bag was soft and supple until the accident happened. The back of the bag feels dry and sticky because of the alcohol from the hand sanitizer. Balenciaga bags are very smooth, soft, and supple. The alcohol made it feel dry. But it's not so dry as to where the bag is going to break open and rip. I don't see any cracks as a result of the dryness.

siennaacre Thanks so much! This color is to die for. I have a couple older Balenciagas and I'm addicted to the leather! I am just trying to decide if I would use this one or just store it away like a museum piece, lol. I owned two First bags, and sold both because they were too small for me. But I love this color so much and I know it's hard to find at a good price! 😛
