Montblanc Sir Georg Solti Ballpoint pen and Bridge Playing Cards NIB

Here is a wonderful writing instrument that will appeal to a number of collectors. Pianists, opera lovers and Bridge players alike will have great interest in Montblanc's 2005 homage to Sir Georg Solti. This handsome set not only includes the pen, but two decks of Bridge cards. His second love only to conducting the greatest orchestra's of our time, was his penchant for Bridge. Solti is well known for his dramatic gesticulations while conducting music with his great stabbing motions and the sweeping waves of his baton. His bald head and explosive style of conducting earned him the nickname "The Screaming Skull". This wonderful pen is 139mm in length. The body is created in a tuxedo-black resin with Solti's signature in crimson-red just below the barrel. Above the signature are five silver rings which is a musical notation to a 5-lined staff. On the clip is an elegant raised black piano key which is a nod to his childhood years in Budapest. There, he gave piano lessons to children to pay his way to The Lizst Academy of Music when he was ten years old. So much history in one beautiful pen!
