Monet gold-tone textured 50s shape clip earrings

I would imagine these vintage Monet gold-tone textured earrings are dated from the 80s/90s. They certainly have an unusual shape so please look closely at the picture showing the backside so that you can see how they will sit on your ears. I have included a picture of the popular shapes of the 50s, you'll see the purple one is especially similar to these earrings. In great vintage condition and comfortable to boot!
