indiesailor could you please describe the condition of the pearl and if there is verdigris on the metal? Thank you.

marys_vintage @indiesailor Sorry for the delay. As with other Miriam Haskell pieces I inherited the pearl appears to have a coating on it that is partly rubbed off with age. This can be clearly seen in the photo. I have not cleaned this piece with anything more than a soft, dry cloth. Looking deep into it I do not see any Verdigris.

marys_vintage It has the “secret Russian gold“ finish on the metal which supposedly had 24 karat gold in it. It also has the more solid filigree base which was used after the war when metal wasn’t so scarce.
