Antique Military Naval Coat with Tails, F.J. Schmidt Tailored Annapolis MD 1924 -- Vintage wool & silk tailored jacket coat with gold buttons and tails by F.J. Schmidt for J.F. Terril in Annapolis, MD on 5/6-24 in wearable condition with considerable fraying to the cream silk lining at the shoulders. Black silk lining inside except sleeve lining is off- white. Dark, navy blue wool exterior with stripe details in gold and silver thread ribbon embroidery and hand stitched patch floral insignias at the cuffs of both sleeves. Missing one button on front. Tag located inside hidden interior pocket at right shoulder. Hidden pockets also located in kining of tail and at left shoulder. A very unique and rare relic from the past. Collect a bit of naval peacetime history from the infamous tailor at the naval academy in Annapolis MD, during the first half of the 20th century throughout the roaring 1920s amidst the USA prohibition era. Ships wrapped in tissue and tied with reusable tags and string then packed snugly in repurposed materials 'Waste not want not'
