Milagros Heart Bohemian Travelers Necklace

A lovely necklace, boho, textural, and very unique. Hand carved strands of whites, yellows, pinks make a show of themselves, contrasting beautifully with the heavy patina on the silver ethnic Indian mango & melon beads, all leading to a classic Mexicana heart. Crafted a long time ago, somewhere that was a crossroads of trade: with East Indian beads and construction, spindle crafted shell beads, a hand made brass hook clasp (possibly African) and the center heart featuring a Mexican butterfly bow. Not that any of this matters unless you’re a bead nerd, like me. But it’s a fascinating piece, looks great on, with a lovely energy to it. It’s old, multicultural, mysterious, and has travelled far. Pre-60’s Vintage to antique, with age appropriate patina. Shell type (of beads) is unknown, metal content is unknown. Main heart has some verdigris showing.
