terrycaron46 good morning! I haven't been to your closet in a while, I was there yesterday and put a like on 3 items The fabric was a mistake - I must have bumped . I thought I bought 3 things, the one you show, the fish, and the other vase I liked. I wanted to put them in a bundle but I couldn't get it to work probably because it was 1:00 in the morning. is there any way you could do that for me? cancel the order and put 3 things in, which would benefit both of us? I just love your stuff. Thanks terry

coffeeandcurios @terrycaron46 I relisted the vase. I am unable to add to your bundle without a new "like". You can add it to your bundle or "like" it, and I can then add. Thanks - Eliza

terrycaron46 @coffeeandcurios Hi! I took that little pottery vase & put one single flower in it. It's on a wooden TV table, on a white cloth. I sleep in a recliner in my posh room.Myy husband's has sciatica & I have a bad shoulder since a fracture/dislocation a few yrs ago. We can't sleep comfortably. I sleep in a room with stacks of totes, boxes, bubble wrap, which make my brain not relax. That little table with a single flower is what I look at for serenity. Sounds goofy but it works! Terry

coffeeandcurios @terrycaron46 Thank you so much for sharing this with me. I don't think it is goofy at all. I think it's pretty human to have a focal point that can bring us a little bit of peace in our chaos. Yes, some people's "thing" may be more complex. Though, I really like the simplicity of yours. And...I am happy that I could offer that little thing in my Shop. Again, thank you for sharing. My day is already better for it.

terrycaron46 @coffeeandcurios mine too! I have had a lot of painful things the last few years of my life, and I find when I share thoughts with people, I feel happier afterwards! Have a great day!

terrycaron46 I see that you live in Phoenix. My younger sister was 13 months younger than I am, and she died 3 years ago of cancer. She lived in Phoenix and I was out there several times to visit her. A big change from where I live, which is in northeastern New York half an hour from the Canadian border. She operated a restaurant called Tarbell's.

terrycaron46 @coffeeandcurios My husband died when my kids were in high school. I was lucky enough to find a wonderful guy a few years later. We call each other husband and wife because we feel dumb saying boyfriend and girlfriend. My children and grandchildren adore him. Losing my husband was horrible for us.

coffeeandcurios @terrycaron46 I am so sorry for your loss, it is sooo...hard! I, too, lost my husband. No children, together. Though he had 3 teenage boys that we were raising together. You are blessed to have found another good man.

terrycaron46 @coffeeandcurios we were raising his 2 boys from his very young marriage at 21. they were 3 & 6 when I met him. They will always be in my life. their mom & I got along very well after the 1st year of her learning to trust me. she died last Christmas. All those boys have now is me. Toms daughter has been living with us & I may have told you her 4 year-old autistic twins are moving in on August 23rd. I'm talk texting so sorry the punctuation is so bad. I will admit I feel a little overwhelmed.

coffeeandcurios @terrycaron46 I'm sorry, that has got to be overwhelming! Having kids back in the house and, autistic, too. I believe you will make it work. This may sound corny, though maybe it's meant to be. Maybe you will find some joy in it? I have my kids and my husband's kids moving in and out all the time. The boys are adults now. Currently, my stepdaughter is on the couch. She was already grown when we were raising his boys. She had some tough times, and now I get to have her as part of my life.

terrycaron46 @coffeeandcurios our lives sound so similar! my step daughter is on the couch also, and it is her children that will be moving in. my stepson lived with us for two years and we had made a fairly decent bedroom in the basement, which she will make nicer for her and her two little ones. we had a big house and we sold it for an empty nester. it's never been empty! 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

coffeeandcurios @terrycaron46 Haha! So funny...I think you might be my twin. I would love to sell my house for something smaller, except I am afraid that something similar would down for me. Sooo...the plan is to use the empty rooms (if/when they become empty) for inventory and scale out my reselling business.

terrycaron46 @coffeeandcurios my only problem is very poor thrifting, around here. we don't even have a Goodwill. there's one across the lake in Burlington VT, a ferry ride over which used to be $11 round trip & is now $20 one way, but it's not an outlet. We had one large thrift store downtown that just closed. we have one small one that benefits the humane society but the main problem we have with any thrift shop is all we can find are Mall brands!
Aug 03Reply
coffeeandcurios
coffeeandcurios @terrycaron46 Oh no! This is not good. One small thrift store is not enough. How often do you go to the mainland for other things? Ferry prices have become ridiculous over the years.
Aug 04Reply
terrycaron46
terrycaron46 @coffeeandcurios Actually, I live on the mainland! it's a very nice town and has a state college here, which you think would help. but all we have is Mall brands, but not even a Talbots. When I retired from administrative work, I sold all my clothes, which helped me get started. I am lucky that I have a lot of sisters, & quite a few wealthy friends give me their beautiful clothes to sell when they're finished with them. so the one thing I usually have is low cost of goods, if any.
