Mid century, ceramic, hugging couple, salt/ pepper shakers, Japan

This is a pair of mid-century ceramic salt and pepper shakers in the shape of a hugging couple. They were made in Japan between 1950 and 1959 and are an original, novelty-type item. The set includes one pepper shaker and one salt shaker, and they are both in good condition. The shakers have no pattern and are suitable for all occasions. Please note there are multiple flaws, the man’s arm has been repaired in multiple places and the woman’s arm also has been repaired (see photos)
