@avabird hola! yes this is made out Mexican cotton, embroidery is handstitched (hand embroidered) handmade in small batches not mass produced.

@avabird as is natural cotton if it is washed and dryed on normal setting heat will shrink, you may send it to dry cleaning services fo preserve it for a long time or handwash, always with similar colors:
