If you know, you know. Old School Music Scene Tours on the East Coast meant a stop at Alternative Music Favorite, Mex-Econo, in Kill Devil Hills, NC. A mix of Gringo-Mexican Food, Cool Folk Hangout and Hard Driving Music Club, this bar/restaurant on the Outer Banks of North Carolina was full on debauchery somehow resulting in lifelong kinship. Too many stories to tell, Dave Grohl hung out on the Outer Banks for a summer and became a regular. He wore a Mex-Econo hat on the now-famous Nirvana Rolling Stone cover. Yours truly worked there for a few years and I am finally ready to sell a few t-shirts from back in the day.
This listing is for a size Large, 100% cotton, FADED black t-shirt with FADED white screen printing. Art might be by Miguel and Carter. Made in late 80s/Early 90's. It has been worn to serve beer and solo cups of cheap wine. It has been freshly laundered. Excellent condition other than fading. Rock on, Rock Star. Gift this to a pal along with an 8-piece box and a Barry White cassette tape. Solid Gold.
