Often broken vases and other decorative china would be set in a metal to make a pendant. This is a larger piece set in the top of a small metal box. I’m guessing copper underneath a silver toned, maybe tin is the composition of the metal box. Container could hold several rings, earrings and chain necklaces or perhaps repurposed for candle making, etc. There’s a lot of possibilities for creatives here.
