This porcelain 3-piece tea set was made and handpainted in Japan during the 30s. The spout and handles are a pearlized blue glaze although some has worn off from use and the bottom half of each piece has a gold lusterware finish. The center of each piece shows a seated geisha and the bottom is marked "Mepoco, Made in Japan" in red with a flag. They are in great condition for their age...no nicks. The tea pot is a hexagon shape and is 8" high, holding about 4 cups. The cream and sugar are also a hexagon shape and are 3" high, hold about 1 cup.
