Created using the words "Fight The Power" The Occupy Movement is an ongoing series of demonstrations around the world that began in New York City at Zuccotti Park in the Wall Street financial district (the first group became known as Occupy Wall Street). They are mainly protesting social and economic inequality, corporate greed, corporate power and influence over government (particularly from the financial services sector), and of lobbyists. The participants' slogan "We are the 99%" refers to income inequality in the United States between the top 1%, who control about 40% of the wealth, and the rest of the population. The amazing growth of the Occupy movement really shows how the message hits a nerve shared by most of the country and the rest of the world. This fight the power design is the perfect way to help spread the word. We all cant be down there protesting, but we can certainly help spread the message.
