It's made from 100% cotton in a durable plain weave which is treated with a wax coating for full waterproofing. The lining is made from a light nylon which is comfortable and adds weather-resistant and it has a drawstring hood, drawcord hem and Velcro cuffs for an adjustable fit. The jacket has a half-zip front with a snap-up stormflap and it has a zippered kangaroo pouch and pocket which is lined with a microfleece.
