Men’s M Merrell Capra Hybrid Windblock Hooded Jacket

I ain’t gonna lie — this is sort of a weird jacket. The pockets on the back are traditionally found in cycling garments but I can not find it written anywhere online in the original catalog literature that this was actually made for cycling In any case, they call this the Capra Hybrid Windblock and this one happens to be sized in Men’s Medium. Minus a few cosmetic blemishes (the most notable being a small stain on one of the wrist cuffs), this thing is actually in pretty good shape. No rips, no tears, and no odors. The integrity of the fabric itself is still great. It’s not stretched or pilling or faded. Zippers work great. This is definitely a slim fit medium. I’m 5’8, 180 lbs, and I can’t zip this up. If I was about 20-35 lbs lighter, and not as stocky, this would be an awesome fit. In terms of how the jacket’s material actually feels, I’d have to say it’s interesting. About half of it is fairly substantial wind blocking material. The other half is a much more flexible and fleece-like. Overall, it’s very comfortable, and I suspect that it is actually quite good at blocking the wind and is in fact likely intended for cycling…or for anyone who enjoys utilitarian back pockets.
