Description
This Irvin jacket was made by Simon Green in the late '70s and is one of the very first ever produced. The label reads "Simon Green MFG Ltd," which was soon after changed to "Moto Lita Ltd." This makes the jacket incredibly rare, and it is regarded as one of the highest-quality Irvins available. The specific two-panel back pattern, no longer produced by Aviation Leathercraft, closely resembles the early WW2 Irvin design. This jacket is among the first to be made under the official Irvin label and helped revive the iconic design. The wool on this jacket is of exceptional quality—extremely soft, warm, and luxurious. The zippers are top-notch YKK models from the '70s, complete with their original leather pull tabs. Overall, this is a significant piece of Irvin history. Let me know if you have any questions!
Condition
There is some balding on the fur, particularly around the right cuff and a bit on the collar. There are a few nicks on the acrylic coating around the jacket, but no major scratches, holes, or scuffs. Overall, it’s in very good vintage condition and is perfectly wearable.
