@julzjonez yes, I took card of my father who had severe dementia and Parkinson’s by myself. I saw family friend get distant and I was all alone with caring for him. Even my sister told me to my face “you deal with him”.
I left the county b/c of the politics and supervisors being promoted b/c they knew someone. There focus was not on the people.

@user235544 Wow! I’m sorry that happened to you. It must’ve been severely difficult to do all that on your own. I know someone I’m currently who has Parkinson’s and dementia, but I’m not sure what kind of Help they will be getting.. I believe they are currently looking for an assisted living or some type of support.

@julzjonez I was in my 20’s and it definitely changed my life as I took care of him for almost 8 years on my own. I made life/death decisions and it was all in me whatever happened. I had aunts that lived a couple blocks from me and they never called and one walked by the house but never paid a visit or anything. I was angry at all of them and it ate me up afterwards. I just figured it was them and not me and my anger made me bitter and depressed. I realized I was hurting myself
