Hey y'all--I am a professional violinist! I went to Juilliard for my undergrad in Manhattan, and I got my Master's at Rice in Houston, TX! Now I play in the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. My music has taken me around the world--Miami, California, New Mexico, Switzerland, Japan, and China to name a few. I love traveling to new places and seeing new styles, and I hope you enjoy my closet! And TELL YOUR KIDS TO PLAY MUSIC because life ain't complete without it. ❤️

animakinsi I played the violin for 10 years. I've never gotten rid of it, even though I haven't played in a while. My hubby and I went to the symphony just last week and I think it's time for it to finally come out again (after some tlc, of course).

nunumom @acjarrett nice to meet you! Rice Houston has the most beautiful campus. We lived in Pearland for 5 years and would shop often near campus. We moved back home to New Orleans after Katrina, but I tell my son and daughter, both born at St. Joseph's Hospital, that they are moving back to their hometown, and attend Rice University! petalsandpearls So nice to meet you! i agree with you that life isn't complete without music! I was a percussionist from elementary through college. I was in marching band and played timpani for the orchestra in many plays in college. Such wonderful people are musicians!

thechicbohemian Wow! How wonderful to be an accomplished violinist -- that's one the the foremost challenging instrumental disciplines. Truly remarkable! I have two friends who'd gone to Julliard for their undergrad as well (both performers), though my guess is both are a few years before you. onisifora How wonderful! My favorite composers are Beethhoven and Sergey Rachmaninov ! I also love jazz music. I don't play an instrument but my hobby is swing dancing, so sometimes I think about my feet as an instrument and try to be a part of a band :) What are your favorite composers?
