Heather Ifversen is a visual artist from Walhalla, SC. She has two grown daughters and two granddaughters that she cherishes. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Art from Anderson University where she graduated with honors. She has been painting professionally for over 20 years and her work has been shown nationally. In her free time, Heather enjoys sauntering through the forests and along the rivers of the Appalachian Mountains that she calls home. These sacred spaces are the inspiration for a lot of her paintings.

jeffwhite949 Just keep doing what your doing. It took me two months but I didn’t do what you are doing. Under normal circumstances it takes about two weeks of building the numbers up but I’ve noticed a huge difference of late. I worked hard all morning determined to make some sales and normally I would’ve had 50 likes and 6 sales by now. I was shocked to see maybe 12 likes and 0 sales so it’s definitely bad out there.

kapuartstudio a word of caution on giving out email, phone no.s, etc. It is possible to do commission paintings completely on Poshmark. You get potential buters to list their photos on their posh closet. You create a listing on your closet with mock up ideas, if they like, they buy. You are assured of getting paid, as long as you follow through, but dont collect(as in all sales) until they have their painting and approve. Check out my "Buster Mock up" to see how I manage these. kapuartstudio @heatherifversen anytime. Support can delete email comment if you want. I sold no paintings for several wks then 15 in a day! Since I wasn't wise, I ended up paying excess shipping, now I just split big sales into 2 bundles. It's a learning curve. After 5000 shares, things really pick up.

heatherifversen @brandiorazem772 I personally try to keep most things under $100. I usually factor in size, but also complexity because it takes more time than simpler designs. I also take into consideration how long I have had a piece, as well as what I painted it on. Also give yourself room to provide discounts and don’t forget that Poshmark gets 20%. It’s not an exact science, so I hope that helps.

meljane66 Check out my closet Heather. I live in hickory , NC.my dad trout fished all up and down in your territory. I love that painting. My dad was white but had very dark skin. We think he was 1/3 Cherokee Indian. Is the man in your painting?

The Chattooga River was sacred to the Cherokee and the trail at Burrell’s Ford (Mountain Rest, SC/Clayton Ga) where I fish the most, was actually an old Cherokee trail that follows the river. When I fish, I try to honor my own Cherokee heritage by asking the river permission first and apologizing then thanking the fish. So this is how I imagine my own grandfather. My Cherokee heritage is often an influence in my work. I just don’t usually go into it unless someone asks.

meljane66 @heatherifversen My Dad fished at that very same place with his friend Jake. Usually Jake would give my dad the rainbow trout he caught and daddy brought it home for our family to enjoy. Every Friday night was Fidh try and family gathering-a Ritual We lost that after he died so young in 1997 with adrenal gland cancer. I llove the art work but must wait until my sales go through! May it be possible for you to be related with a Marie Ifversen. I have never seen anyone else specifically spell the last name like hers. She lived in Arizona with 2 boys Chet and Chad.

There are so many different ways to mix the paint it’s crazy 🤪 If you look on YouTube check out the cloud & pearl bloom technique. It’s pretty cool. liledeglace There’s so many opportunities to brush up on art skills at Michaels and on Groupon but I don’t love to drink so declined on multiple classes after a nightmare calligraphy class I took over a decade ago! Good luck on making meaningful connections here and developing your craft further! Too many great artists here and it’s hard to connect them all! Hope you’re okay, wherever you are!
