tkudshad Hello Suzanne . I am sorry you were not pleased with the detergent used in our household , which is scent free and dye free . I do not use any strong perfumes or soaps due to allergies and sensitive skin. I can assure you all items are CLEAN & stored safely in storage bins . My home is smoke and pet free. I’m sure this minor dissatisfaction can be resolved by re-washing the item in your household’s choice of scented detergent. Have a blessed day ! 😊
