@stessaberry really? Me too. I fell 3 years ago (slipped) and was of scared to wear heels after that. And now my knees hurt 😢 I also have a very high arch and it’s hard to find cute shoes.

@stessaberry Sounds great! I'm doing white cheese for Halloween this year. I making some spooky queso dip and cheese stick fingers etc. I i think I will balance it strawberries for citrus. I have not made a pie yet! I've been making breads like crazy lol. I should make a pie. I seen a lemon curd sundae recipe yesterday. I almost got up at 10 pm to make some lol, bucket list this fall

@stessaberry I found a trick for zesting lemons, if you do that a lot. You may already know. Use a vegetable peeler and blend it in the processor! Saves time and your fingers, any you get more zest. I've been slaving over that zester for years.

@a1astrid My pre-lit Christmas tree died 😣 so I had to get a new one. I really liked my Colorado Spruce but I will do with the Virginia Pine for now. It is really a showplace for my red bows, gold ornaments and angels.

cookies are the goal this year. I made a gingerbread house but my roof was eaten before it was affixed ( family lol). so a new one soon will be made. going to do a cookie swap this year. snickerdoodle and choco chips!

@stessaberry Oh yes! I live near water so they are abundant here, this year haven't seen any just yet. We usually capture one and let the kids look at it before we release it. They swarmed last year so probably won't be as much this year

It should be the year for the June Bugs here, I am not sure if they have another name elsewhere. I have been busy collecting all the garden greens, today is rhubarb jam day. I need to get it made. The chickens came out of the incubator too!

@a1astrid dearest Astrid, I'm super late in getting my garden together. I do enjoy watching the late night views of lightning bugs (aka fireflies) and bats. I live in the city but near a forest so I get lots of critters. I'm making OJ cake today - perfect for warm days ahead!

Oj cake?! that sounds awesome... I have a tomato plant that is now as high as my neck, I didn't trim it! I have kittens everywhere and made a chili today that could have won a blue ribbon. oh and a cake for the kid's birthday! neopolitan and sugar coma! Do you use fresh or jug OJ? I want the recipe!

@a1astrid Happy Solstice! My cake is pretty much a Sicilian recipe where the recipe calls for using a whole orange. Fresh is best :). 🌞I like the idea of cooking without making it any warmer in the house, so I'm into the crockpot and easy soups these days.
