rebecca95136 @cak1956 yes! A miracle happened and a friend was cleaning out her closet and taking a dozen huge bags of clothes to Goodwill. Instead she offered to let me try to sell them on Poshmark. I had no idea what was in the bags. Many super nice dressesand nice tops, shoes and even Lululemon stuff! I spent hours this weekend just doing the dresses.

Where do you find beautiful things with the tags still attached?And where do you get all those little goodies and still make money? Where do you get the beautiful wrapping that can still make you money on your sales? I do my best to wrap in nice tissue and curling ribbon. I include a thank you card and A candy. dailyshopper73 @rspencer1959 Aww thank you so much! We are 5 people working on our closet, with a couple of us full time. We source all the time! We take any opportunity we can to find things of value or interest to us and we are always on the look out for sales and bargains. We take special trips across the state regularly to source both items to sell and give as gifts. We also utilize wholesale and bulk buying as well. (cont.)

dailyshopper73 @rspencer1959 In terms of still making a profit on things, we always try to keep our costs as low as possible, but the free gifts and packaging do add up. What we do to keep balance is price fairly for both the buyer and us. Know your worth! There will be items where you will not make the best margins, but others that will make up for it. (cont.)

dailyshopper73 @rspencer1959 We use the Jillson Roberts brand for our tissue paper, and Michaels or other craft stores for the ribbons. Also to help with costs (and because it is fun!) all our cards and some of our goodies are handmade. Hopefully this helps a little! We just started selling about 7 months ago, so we are still learning a lot too! We sort of just threw ourselves at it, and experimented ... a lot!

rebecca95136 @cak1956 thanks for all the shares! I actually found a free app called photo room where it’s super easy to make your background white. It did take a long time to switch everything up, but I just did a little at a time and like it a lot better. No, not busy at work at all. Haven’t worked since March 16 and I spent that whole day just canceling all of my patients. I’m not a nurse, I’m a dental hygienist and consequently that is not essential right now and so no work at all.

rebecca95136 @cak1956 been spending a lot of time cleaning out closets, drawers and cabinets. My house is super clean!. Should be sharing my closet more, but not motivated since sales have plummeted. But I definitely have tons of stuff to list from on my cleaning out! I’m also trying to cross list some stuff on another platform . Luckily you got back from Mexico before the borders shut down, right? What a mess!
