Hi! I'm Nancy- Up until the past few years, I have spent most of my career in the world of Fashion and Retail. Everything in my closet is owned by me or a relative (and recently a few friends). All things we love but haven't worn in a while and now its time to pass on to another who loves it as much as we do. Although I have a full time job, I do try to ship same/next day. I have collected so much over the years (my Mom too!) that it was time to start to clean it out. My closets too. I thought about buying the books on costume jewelry and I still might at some point but for pricing I go with what I see similar items listed at online or what my gut tells me to list at.

nlwr @lulusbestbuys I am not an expert in jewelry and I know I have sold some things at a low price that were worth more money than I had it listed at, b/c I didn't research it first. But I made someone happy, so I am then happy in return. Between my Mom and I we have tons of very vintage pieces but I really haven't started to list them yet.

nlwr @lulusbestbuys . I may try at some point but I am not sure PM is the best platform for selling those items. The other thing that I try to remember when I list is, not to be attached to the item b/c, well that is why I am listing it. For me, its a nice walk down memory lane as I think of what I wore and where I went.

lulusbestbuys @nlwr I can relate to many of your comments. You have the right attitude. Letting go of “ things” shouldn’t be so difficult? Selling anything is so rewarding, when the Buyer lets you know how excited he/she is. I remember a young woman who bought a new, trendy sundress and a very nice purse from me. I accepted her offer, because of her genuine enthusiasm for these two items. I think her total charges were $40 plus shipping. I got the impression she had to borrow part of the money from her Mom.

This is one of the happiest days of my life!” Sometimes, it doesn’t matter how much an item sells for. I find it even more rewarding to vicariously enjoy my Buyer’s experience.
