I've been trying to get that lady's attention actually for a while and she kept ignoring me and now she shared a bunch of things from my closet. :) lol. Her stuff is gorgeous. I haven't even been able to repay her or tag everyone else that I want to tag in that group because I'm seriously so busy today! I need a nap. 😂

I used to live I. San Diego years ago. I went to Beauty School in San Marcos and then lived in Carlsbad and worked at a little Aveda Salon in La Jolla down there. I love that area! My aunt and uncle and grandparents are all out that way too.

@sarahrgz No I don't filter them. I have a gorgeous floor that looks like wood, but it's tile ;) In addition, we have a huge window that lets in pretty daylight. Lighting is key for nice photos. Does that help?

Oh heavens, you may well have done so, Merilee. I am so forgetful - I try to keep track of all my PFFs in my phone but that gets tangled up too. I truly wish they'd make a less cumbersome app. I strongly suspect I was using your old name via one of the comments, which I often do, and was forgetting you had changed it. Merilee, also wanted to ask if you want to be on my tag lists? I tag mostly for welcoming new Poshers, as well as sales, and occasionally for parties. You can be on all, one, two, or none - and trust me, I will not be offended because I totally understand how time consuming & exhausting it can be! My primary reason for tagging is to bring recognition to my PFFs' closets - you needn't feel obligated to share and tag others. lmk how you feel about it. 😉💚😽

@smboatman Not stupid. I didn't learn it right away either. If you are on the person's page (like you are here in mine), you do not need to open your comment by tagging the person. They will automatically get a notification that there's a new comment. However, if you are responding to them inside your own closet, on a listing, or your MTP page, you must tag them @username for them to be notified. Make sense?

@dresssouth It's called the Poshmark User Group. Look us up. You'll fill out a brief questionnaire. :) Also, please don't worry about followers. They don't matter nearly as much as sharing YOUR stuff, listing, and thorough descriptions. That is what gets you exposure. Followers are nice, but I sold almost 300 items when I only had 5000. However, sometimes following people who sell the brands you sell can also lead to exposure/sales, so definitely DO that! CHeers.

@hipmomma87 1) You could use some brighter photographs. Your wood background is great, you just could use some photo editing when the natural light isn't as good. 2) Research the names of the items you are selling. It gives you credibility and you'll also draw in the collectors looking for particular items. :)

@hipmomma87 Finally, I think if you had a dress form, or used your hanger more, it would be easier to see the shape on some of your items. For flat lays, it's more difficult and you really have to stage it carefully - so that it stands out when people do searches. Go search Anthro tops and see how your cover photos stand out next to others. The more they stand out (bright/clear/etc), the more traffic you'll get!

I think I have a cute closet with plenty more to add), I try to share posts to parties and with followers daily but not getting too far yet. Wondering your advise for a semi-newbie poster? To increase sales, list more and share your items more - because when you share your item to your followers -it bumpse up in the search queues- as well as sending it to your followers -and most people use the search button to shop !
