amytberens Hi Mary Beth. I just measured the shirt you were interested in. Petite large has a pit to pit measurement of 22 inches and length of 42 inches .It is not stretchy and is 100 percent cotton. The Medium petite is 21 inches pit to pit and 41 inches long. They are close. This is my go to piece of the season. I love it un buttoned and as a dress with boots.
