Hi, I’m Luka. I'm a wife, a mom of four beautiful children (one daughter & three sons) Grammy of two beautiful boys. I love my family and my four legged babies. I love a well thought out classic wardrobe and I never met an enchilada I didn't like. I’m a Huge fan of Sophia Loren and I’m in the process of awakening to my Divine Self. My wardrobe is in a constant state of acquiring and letting go. I love high end labels but I can also appreciate a thrifted goodie. Even a humble Target dress can be lovely if it’s got good bones. luckyluka @bubbleyumgirl They really are a special breed. Big grey boy slept on my belly with each pregnancy. We called him the incubator🐱He didn't do it any other time. Does your Minka have the mauve colored paw pads?

bubbleyumgirl Minka has the black nose and paws, but she is a cross, so not purebred. I think the black nose is super cute though! I can totally see the incubator! She probably liked hearing the heartbeat in there, and maybe the extra heat. That is adorable and a special memory. 😻

luckyluka @sassyass76 Hi...I don't think 4 stars is a bad. Here's why, nowhere in the list did you say it was sheer. On my device it did not look sheer. I spent the better part of my weekend searching for a slip that would work to no avail. If I had to guess, it probably came with a slip originally but when you found it, said slip was long gone. It's the only way that dress makes any sense. It's basically unusable to me unless I have one made and the dress just isn't worth it. So I'm cutting my losses.

Also, I did utilize a bra on the mannequin to reveal the nature of how thin the fabric was, as I try to do with each piece I sell. I purchased this phenomenal dress new so can assure you that at no time was it accompanied by a matching slip, however. Thank you, again, for your imput! I'm sorry for the misunderstanding!!!

thwelshbohemian Hi Luka, I am so sorry you are not happy with the boots. I had no idea that they were a narrow fit, I wear a size 10 so I would have been unable to try them on myself. I include anything in my description that I am aware of. Vintage sizing can be a little tricky sometimes. luckyluka @vintage_reborn He was😿he’s no longer on this plane. But his name was Digby and he was a love. I had rescued another Saint that was abused and after two years of rehab something snapped and he bit me. My vet said we had to put him down but I found a Saint rescue in Arizona and George lives happily with about 20 other Saints. Before I left the owner insisted I meet Digby. I wasn’t ready to replace George but he came running out, kissed me on the face and jumped in my car!!

vintage_reborn @luckyluka I am so glad you didn’t let them put George down! I noticed how quickly people here decide to put animals down. They experience psychological trauma too and always have reasons for their behavior. I rescued border collie from shelter years ago that was scheduled to be put down because she got in fight with other dog in the cage. She was the best dog I ever had, and I still miss her dearly. Several years ago i used to have two saint-bernards, boy and girl. They were magnificent!

luckyluka @vintage_reborn I really thought I could help George but he had so much trauma. He was kept in a small crate and my vet had to surgically put his legs back into their sockets. Then he had a reaction to meds and went blind. I put him on a raw diet and he recovered but I think the “wild” diet made him more aggressive. I had hand fed him chicken many times and he was always so gentle.

vintage_reborn @luckyluka My cat Mittens had his stitches removed but when they brought him out, it was looking so much worse. Vet said they can do second surgery, and that would bring the bill to over $1000. I said no and took him home because they said the other option to let body to heel itself. One small wound looks like healing but the big one is still pretty bad. Looks like Mittens will be wearing cone for quite some time, and he is very frustrated. Sometimes is trying to bite me 🙀🙀🙀

luckyluka @vintage_reborn But one sunny day we were sitting outside and he was noshing on a raw chicken leg and I was sitting in the sun when I noticed a piece of meat under his back leg and tried to move it. He turned and growled and bit me on the hand. It was gnarly. I had an infection. I was on two nasty antibiotics that made me nauseous. Luckily no permanent damage. But I had young kids and so he had to be re-homed. Hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.

luckyluka Oh no😿poor mittens. The cone of shame is the worst. Sometimes I’ve had good luck with juiced raw organic cabbage for infections. You make compresses. I forget what the chemical is that heals infections but I’d read an article about a woman whose leg was saved by cabbage juice compresses.

vintage_reborn @luckyluka I am sorry about that , he was just protecting his food. Many dogs don’t like when their food is taken. I even have seen really agressive chihuahuas when someone gets close to their food. That is actually normal for dogs that have been starving in the past. ☹️

luckyluka I need to post pictures of Hagrid. He was a magnificent Neapolitan mastiff/Saint mix. He was an owner surrender at a high kill shelter in Riverside. He had cancer but he lived happily with our family for two years. He was so beautiful. I will never forget the look on his face when I brought him home and he saw that I had three boys😭♥️

luckyluka He totally was and I was definitely my fault. I felt terrible. But he’s so much happier with Connie than he ever would have been with us. She’s a miracle worker. He was dog aggressive. Now he’s part of a pack. He has a girlfriend named Minnie and he plays tug of war. He’s got a wonderful life. But it was hard driving off especially with another dog in my car. I will never forget the look on his face behind the fence as I drove away😿

luckyluka @heidisue608 Very cozy. Big requirement in our homes. Pet friendly=cozy and disposable. You can just toss the slip covers in the wash and when they’re threads you get new ones. I think we bought that couch on Craigslist for $100. My daughter has had really good luck finding slipcovers in the Ikea discount bins (where the returns out of original packaging are sold), so it was very inexpensive to keep up with her drooly English mastiff.

If you haven’t seen The Life Ahead and What Would Sophia Loren Do on Netflix, I highly recommend. She’s a unicorn, still so beautiful. And to think that when she was starting out, she was told she was not attractive enough to be an actress 🤯

luckyluka @mbdream Sophia lived in my area in the 1990’s while her sons were attending university. I would see her at the farmers market and Whole Foods. The whole store would be abuzz about Sophia and her two handsome sons. I think she was in her 60’s at around the time she did Grumpier Old Men. She looked amazing.
