Hello, I am sorry you weren't happy with the blouse you bought. I have no idea why it would smell like perfume, I laundered it with Tide. I didn't have any problem with the fit, I wasn't "dumping" the blouse, I love it, I just have lost weight and it was just hanging on me.

On the blue Lands’ End top the measurement from bottom of armpit to bottom of armpit is 27 inches when laid flat
