@goshops I do children's book illustration, mostly, but also love to do realistic portraits and learning to paint and draw like the Renaissance Masters. It sounds like creativity runs in the family- love it!! And I had a minor in English, so I can appreciate your writing talent. I have a great love for words and poetry, and am hoping to someday combine that with my art, just not sure how yet. What do you do for a living, if I may ask? I apologize if it's in your bio- I have a terrible memory! 😜

It's called, "The Princess and the SweetPea", and then, looking like someone handwrites a 'correction' or 'edit' on the cover, there's "and Chloe, too!" with an arrow pointing into the title draaawn on the cover...

Princess (oldest): The straight A student, cheerleader, miss popular, loved by everyone. 2. SweetPea (youngest): Leather n lace REBLE, skips school, breaks curfew, and arrives home on da back of a guys "hawg", neck covered in hickies.

I wrote for the Houston Chronicle for several years (entertainment writer/club & bar reviews) before leaving to write for a marketing & advertising firm. Since then, my mom, who was diagnosed w Alzheimer's disease some years back, has had several serious health issues.

@artnita I am her POA, and closest daughter, therefore i wuld drop everything to be by her side as these major issues unfolded and had her in and out of the hospital for most of the year. I lost my last job for missing too many days of work. I now do strictly freelance work, prrsonal projects, and PM.

Crews r still working on picking up the mountains of trash on almost every front yard in our neighborhood as homes were gutted of just about eeeverything inside...sheetrock, carpet, cabinets, insulation, furniture, clothes, the list goes on.

@artnita The trauma was soon replaced, however, by sheer AWE and PRIDE at the INCREDIBLE display of spirit, compassion and humanity of the people of Texas. I am still so moved, bc it was MOSTLY grassroot efforts that saved the day.
