rachwonderful @moondogfashion hello Andrea! I’m fairly new to this but sold lots too lol I’m constantly learning. I’m trying to streamline putting up listings. Do you do yours mainly via your phone? Or do you do them on a computer? The most time consuming thing is putting up these listings and doing details of every item even after I take really good thorough pictures. I’m trying to decide what is really necessary for a sale?

moondogfashion @rachwonderful no problem! I found I was writing too much of a description and have been trying to whittle it down. I have listing templates and try to photograph the major details so I don’t have to type them out. This has helped me speed up a bit.

rachwonderful @moondogfashion I am trying to decide…at what point is too much not necessary. Like if you put that it’s a jcrew button down blue shirt in your description line is that necessary to put again in the body of the description? I don’t know for sure for the algorithms if it is or not. And then if I take pics with the measurements do I need to put those details down. It’s kind of a trial and error I guess. I see some people who put very little in the description.

moondogfashion @rachwonderful it’s all very trial and error and it’s good to reevaluate from time to time. Lots of buyers would prefer photos of measurements and if you do that, you definitely don’t need to type them out. When I started 5+ years ago, SEO standards were to repeat the title in the body of a listing but I am not sure if that is still a thing, but it’s my method. You will find what works for you over time. 😊
