christalynd Doing well! We have tomorrow off, so the fam and I are in the northern LP skiing and boarding. Well, if I'm honest, I'm falling! I didn't make it long today. Spent the day sharing on Posh since I have NO moola!! 😄 Report card day is Friday so I'm in denial as I despise the work that goes into those suckers. 😁

christalynd No conferences. Thank goodness! Although I have the BEST families ever this year!!! Elementary reports just stink - well at least 5th grade because I have grades like middle school, but have to leave comments like elementary. They wipe me! Do you have to do them soon, too?

christalynd We're on quarters also, but Michigan has a law that public schools can't begin until after Labor Day so we start really late. Second quarter ends Thursday and records day is Friday. Cards go home on the 2nd. Do you do conferences more than once?

jenijenisand @christalynd Oooh, I see. We are in the 3rd qtr now. We had conferences after qtr 1 and we will again in February. We started after Labor Day too but we are a private school so we aren't held to a certain number of days and hours and minutes. Yuck, I worked public school for 16 years. I was so done last couple of years. It was such a toxic place to be. I'm in a good place now. Of course the kids were never a problem.

christalynd Yeah, the climate is certainly toxic. That is, in Michigan at least. Our governor has not hidden his disdain for public education. My school isn't toxic. I really love a lot about it. We only do conferences once... In November. Are your conferences scheduled or drop-in. Our middle school teachers just have drop-in ones.

christalynd OMGosh!!! Props to you!! My husband left for a month-long business trip on Sunday. We had a snow day on Monday and Tuesday. It's Thursday and I think I'm going to die!! 😣 The weird thing is that he works so much that we don't often see him until really late in the weekdays. He even works more once he gets home a lot and on the weekends. I've taken on most of the roles, but dang! There is NEVER a break. I'm SOOOOO tired!! How on earth do you do it!?!? (I think I've figured it out. You really ARE Wonder Woman!! See, I knew it!!!)
