xtina1413 @lidencm18 - my comment posted prematurely lol I just moved out of the city and live in the western suburbs. My boyfriend wouldn't agree to buy a condo downtown :( but, I work downtown. Wooo! What part of the city are you in?

lidencm18 @xtina1413 I grew up in buffalo grove and my bf and I just got a condo in palatine right near the train station. Rent is EXPENSIVE anywhere in Chicago, but you're looking at double just to be in the city itself! 😜 your commute probably isn't too bad from where you are though, right?

xtina1413 @lidencm18 - We're like neighbors! I'm just south of Schaumburg :) My commute is about 45 minutes each way on the Metra. Not too bad. To drive in typically takes 1.5-2 hours each way. Love Chicago traffic, right?! And you're right about the cost of living - we have single family home on almost an acre for what we would have spent on a 1 bedroom condo. It's give and take, I guess. I wouldn't hate having a balcony with a city view.

lidencm18 @xtina1413 that's crazy! I have a job interview in Itasca today, so that's insanely close lol. And 45 mins isn't bad, I'm definitely more in favor of NOT living in the city city. Too much drama trying to get from point a to point b lol
